The Mount Henry Bridge is the best place to start this stand up paddle board. There is plenty of parking underneath the bridge and along The Esplanade (see map below). There are also several sandy sections near the bridge to launch your stand up paddleboard.
What are the best conditions for stand up paddle boarding here?
This location is ideal when the breeze is south westerly and of course the lower the wind speed the better.
What is there to see along the way?
Paddling underneath the huge Mount Henry Bridge is a highlight. Listening to the cars and trains overhead and marvelling a the huge structure that supports the bridge from the water.
In the other direction towards Rossmoyne, the Canning River becomes narrower and comes to a dead end that is surrounded by beautiful wetlands.
Along the way are beauitful big houses to admire and a few jetty’s used by locals.
Dolphins are also regulary seen in this area too.
Is there anywhere nearby to get coffee?
Kerbside Cafe is a food truck that offers coffee, smoothies, ice cream and snacks. It’s located right under the Mount Henry Bridge and is open most days dependant on the weather. Check the open status of Kerbside Cafe on their facebook page.
A stand up paddle board followed by a coffee and a snack at the Kerbside Cafe, makes this the perfect SUP and Cup location.
