How do you get the Greens Pool?
Greens Pool is located 18km south west of Denmark Western Australia. The town of Denmark is found in the South West region and is situated just over 420km south east of Perth. Follow South Coast Hwy to Williams Road, then follow the signage to the Greens Pool carpark.
Is it accessible by 2WD?
Greens Pool is accessible by 2WD via a sealed road to the Greens Pool / Elephant Rocks carpark.
Is it good snorkeling at Greens Pool?
The snorkeling at Greens Pool is amazing. The pool features an arrangement of boulders within the water, however there are lots of rocks located beneath the surface too which makes for an incredible snorkeling experience with a large range of marine life to explore in and around the rocks. Snorkeling at Greens Pool is a definite must on warm and calm day.
When is the best time to visit?
It’s best to visit on a sunny, fine day to fully appreciate the white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. The height of Summer is the best time to visit as the waters of the South West are a lot colder than other parts of Western Australia. Hotter temperatures make swimming, snorkeling and paddling more enjoyable.
Get there early! Finding parking can be difficult at peak times (Summer school holidays!). Get there as early as you can, grab a parking spot and enjoy the beach and rocks before the crowds arrive.
Can you camp at Greens Pool?
No camping is permitted at Greens Pool.
What facilities are at Greens Pool?
There are a couple of toilet blocks at the Elephant Rocks / Greens Pool carpark. There was also a food truck and ice-cream van in the carpark when I visited during the Summer school holidays.
Is Greens Pool close to Elephant Rocks?
These two beaches are right next to each other and there are walking trails that join Greens Pool to Elephant Rocks. The walk trail that follows the coastline to the top of Elephant Rocks provides a great view of both beaches and an adventurous entry to Elephant Rocks down a stair case and between a gap in two tall rocks to the Elephant Rocks beach.
