What Hey Bud products did I start with?
I wanted products to continue my everyday skin care routine and wanted something that was also effective in slowing the signs of aging, so I started with the “The Full Bud”. It includes a Clay Mask, Brush, Gel Cleanser, Gel Moisturiser, Hyaluronic Serum, Niacinamide Serum, Night Moisturiser, Face Oil & Eye Cream. I love the cool box that it all came it!
Why did I chose to try the Hey Bud Skincare?
I’ve always had sensitive skin and I found that pretty much every skin care product I have tried either irritates my skin or if it doesn’t irritate my skin it doesn’t make much difference to the feel and appearance of my skin. I also wanted a product that was effective in managing the challenges of aging in my skin. I’d read raving reviews about Hey Bud, and love that it used hemp seed oil and natural products, so thought I would give it a go. Hey Bud also claimed to be great for acne so I thought my teenage son could try it too.
How has Hey Bud worked for me?
Firstly, it feels amazing as soon as I put it on (and it has a beautiful natural smell too). No irritations at all, not even after weeks of using the Hey Bud products. I’ve noticed my skin overall is, more moisturised, has more of a shine and the lines around my eyes are visibly less. I’ve been wearing make up less, often feel confident heading out make up free and am loving the compliments and questions about what I’m doing differently. My son has also noticed a reduction in breakouts and his skin looks and feels great.
Which Hey Bud product is my favourite?
While I love all the products in “The Full Bud” pack as they all work together for an overall improvement in my skin, I absolutely love the Glow Addict Face Oil. It gives my face such a shine and that extra moisture. I only need one drop to do my whole face, and I often just rub a drop into my face just before I go to the gym or out to the shops, for a bright more natural look than make up. While it is an oil it does help to control both oilIness and dryness.
Can you use Hey Bud with oily skin?
I personally have more dry skin issues and don’t have any issues with oily skin. However you don’t need to choose a skin type with Hey Bud, each product suits all skin types as it helps to restore your natural skin balance.
What other products are there?
Some products I can’t wait to try next are the Mushroom Mask. It helps boost collagen production and promotes elasticity and is an overnight mask that is a game changer for those with dry or aging skin. Next order I’ll also be including the Gentle Jane Exfoliator. It uses AHA fruits and biodegradable cellulose beads to be physically and chemically exfoliate the skin for a glowing and polished finish. Also great for reducing acne breakouts and the redness of acne.
Another cool product by Hey Bud (that I wish was around when I was a teenager with terrible acne) are these “Blemish Buds”. You can stick them on a breakout and firstly it covers it up with a cool little “emoji” and secondly it tackles and soothes the breakout to reduce it’s visibility.
What is the packaging like?
The bottles are made of glass and the containers are made of post consumer recycle (PCR) plastics. Hey Bud are working on introducing the option to purchase refill products so containers can be re-used.
One feature I absolutely love is that the pump packs are lockable. Turn them one way to use and the other way to lock. This is perfect for me as I fly often and always take my Hey Bud products with me. The lockable pump tops mean I don’t have to worry about my valuable products accidently dispensing, making a mess and worst of all being wasted.
How much does it cost?
Hey Bud Products are not cheap but are not overly expensive either. I would describe them as a mid range product in cost but with the effectiveness of a high end price tag product. Much like many quality skin care products you don’t need much at each use to feel and see the benefits. Your products and skin care sets will last you for a fair while depending on your use. I use my products day and night and I still have plenty of product after just over 5 weeks.
