How far is it from Perth to Albany?

Albany is located approximately 417km South East of Perth, if you travel along the Brookton Hwy and Albany Hwy. This 4 & 1/2 hour drive can be done in a day, however you may like to stop at some of these places below or even stay overnight somewhere along the way.

Armadale

Mount Barker

As you approach Albany, the picturesque town of Mount Barker unfolds amidst rolling hills and lush landscapes. The Porongurup National Park, a haven for hiking enthusiasts, boasts trails that lead to awe-inspiring panoramic vistas. Take a moment to reconnect with nature before the final leg of your expedition with a visit to the Castle Rock Granite Skywalk. It’s approximately 30 mins drive south east from Mount Barker and the walk takes around 2 hours to complete. From here you can continue on Chester Pass Road, approximately 35mins to Albany.
